Alicia, chilling out.

This is Shaun Goh, a.k.a. Ah Nian, giving a Thumbs-Up.

Cheng Kai, a.k.a. Ah Boon, being busy, as you can see from the attentive look in his eyes and fingers on the calculator.

Chun Wei, the "Happy Man", or "El Mustachio"

Yee Ying says, "I got your lens cap!"
Alicia says, "And there's no way we're giving it back!"

Qiu Ling looking quite surprised.

Khai Ming, doing what is locally and commonly known as "Am-Pia", that is doing intensive revision to fortify his or herself without the knowledge of others.

Mr Inquisitive Zheng checking out what Joe Ming, Chun Wei and Shaun Goh are up to.

Try and guess what Shaun's about to say next.

Wai Sheng says, "You talkin' to me?"

This here, is Wan Jiun.

Mandy says, "...and then I told him 'if you don't back off I'm gonna bash you right in the nose!'"

The three girls at the back; they seem inseparable don't they

The girls, (from left) Jing Ni and Chin Yee, with their two frequent visitors, Zheng and Soon Poh

Smile!

Zheng, Shaun, and Joe Ming, just like old times.

L6B3 Family (part 1)

The leader of our class of 37 is Mr Teng, who was given the responsibility to not only shoulder the group's affair but also instill us with the knowledge of General Studies, otherwise known as Pengajian Am.

It took us quite a while to get settled in the small corner of the block we call "L6B3". First there's the unfamiliar territory of Pre-U Form 6 curriculum. Everything is, quite simply as it should be, harder. For math, we've seen algebra and quadratic equations and trigonometry before, but now it's harder. Biology, we've encountered enzymes and cellular respiration and photosynthesis before, but now it's harder. Chemistry, acids and electronic configurations, we've seen 'em before, but now it's harder. One can simply put it this way, we are rookies, novices to this Form 6 game.

Then there's the unfamiliar territory of unfamiliar people. Not every ex-CLHS boys made a return to school for Form 6. Those that did make a return were joined by non-ex-CLHS non-boys. Girls from other schools were making their Form 6 debuts along with boys who spent half a decade studying in an environment where there are virtually no influences from female counterparts. So one can be sure to say that everyone is quite literally starting from scratch socially.

Life in L6B3 started fast and slow - how does it make sense?
Fast, because of the system: the new modular system which demanded us students to rush our footsteps in order to get everything prepared before the big day comes in November.
Slow, as we try to mingle with each other we only managed to do it in small, hesitant and tentative steps.

It took us weeks before getting completely comfortable with the environment of L6B3, and now as time goes on, this classroom is wafting a subtle homey aroma ever so strongly.

_________________________________________________________________________________

Due to the good fortune of being allowed to bring the camera to school, we've taken quite a decent amount of photographs, depicting the quintessential "A Day in the Life of L6B3":

Yean Su, a lad who joined the pack slightly late, seen here brushing up on his Chemistry.

Ye Shoong, with a V (as in "Victory")

Wei Jun, with a W (as in "What is going on back there?")

This is Ting Kai

...and this is Ben, the class monitor. The uhh...tongue is his way of saying he likes you (...or is it?)

We have two Shaun's in the classroom, this is one of them.
Perhaps he's rather perplexed by the camera lens pointing at him.

And here we have Kar Wing to the left side of the picture, and Qiu Ling to the right.

Kim, with quite a mischievous grin on her face there.

Swet Fen's gaze filled with rage and disgust - or maybe she's just plainly staring

Mandy here is delighted (don't know what the gesture is about though...hehe)

It's highly likely that Hai Li here is highly surprised by the highly sneaky cameraman sneaking up on her doing her highly confidential revision.

Here's Fang Jie. (Somebody should go ask her what brand of toothpaste she's using.)

Chin Yee, giving with a "What do you want?" look to the cameraman.

Qiu Ling and Kar Hui

This is the joker slash slightly-lunatic slash prefect we call Zheng.

Ting Kai again, with a V for Victory and a G for Grin

Khai Ming, the rather tall one.

Here are the girls from the back of the class.

Eugene here is sparing some time to show his patriotic side.

Qi Chen says, "I got something in my nose! Look away you darn cameraman!"

Qi Chen says, "Didn't I tell you to look away?!"

Alicia says, "Why oh why did you bring so many newspaper to school?!"
Ye Shoong says, "Oh look, you dropped one."

Kok Wei (left) and Fang Jie (right) helping out with the Recycling Campaign

Kim, Joe Ming, Ye Shoong, Kok Wei, Alicia, and Seok Yee being busy with the newspapers.

"Oh yea, we're gonna ace this!"

This, is what we call "Teamwork"

"Oh look what we've found in the trash heap!"
"Is it presentation time again?"

"Now how are we going to get these things downstairs...?"

Yan Sheng, a.k.a. Ah Nah, being as busy as......usual.

(To be continued...)
